How Does Deck Waterproofing Work?
We use a watertight EPDM rubber membrane over the top of the roof deck for protection against water infiltration, in place of standard roofing materials. On top of that, “sleepers” — flat 2×6’s laid on their profile every 16 inches — provide the surface for attaching the decking. We’re very careful with all materials, making sure our work stays within every City of Chicago rule and regulation, so once we finish, you won’t have to worry about anything except enjoying your rooftop deck.
